KOKO HEAD HIKE-Hawaii
This by far has been one of the most rewarding hikes I have ever done. This marked a mile stone after I had tore my ACL in Colorado a few months before having to have knee surgery. After several months I was back up and exploring the world. If you ever heard of the quote “There is no elevator to success you have to take the stairs”, this hike clearly defines that method. What was once a railroad track is now a trail with 1,048 steps. Think stair master; but walking higher and higher until you reach the top and you are over looking Hanauma Bay and all of Hawaii’s beauty. This was truly a breathtaking moment. There was some locals about to start fire dancing and I knew this was an experience I did not want to miss. My sister was wondering when we were going to head down because it was getting dark, but I told her we cannot leave until we see the fire dance. What an experience…Check out the short YouTube clip below to see what happened at the top!
